Getting started

  • To open a CytoCloud account, you’ll only need a computer and an internet connection. No installation is required. Register your free trial account here.
  • CytoCloud is a web-based application hosted on a Cloud server.
  • CytoCloud runs on any computer, and any web browser.
  • For an optimal user experience, an internet connection with at least 20Mbps download / 5Mbps upload speeds and a HD display (supporting a resolution of 1920×1080) should be used.
  • Simply navigate to www.cytocloud.net and enter your details. An email will be sent to you with a link to your CytoCloud account along with the User and Password to access the account.
  • This is a matter of only 5 minutes!
  • CytoCloud has an embedded Tutorial section that includes video clips describing the main application functionalities.
  • Our team welcomes users’ requests for online – personal training sessions with one of our applications specialists.
  • Online training session requests should be submitted to: cytocloudsupport@bioview.com. Please submit your request using the email account associated with your CytoCloud account, including your CytoCloud user ID.

Account management

  • A free trial account will be set up for 2 weeks. After which a subscription is required.
  • A full subscription is provided via an annual fee paid to the local distributor. As part of the subscription, CytoCloud will offer a straightforward, all-inclusive subscription. The CytoCloud user can create an unlimited number of accounts, with up to two accounts to be connected at the same time, analyzing different metaphases from the same/different cases.

  • Cases are stored on the CytoCloud for 3 months. Metaphase images and cases will automatically be deleted 3 months after they were uploaded to the CytoCloud
  • Not at all. Just jump straight to work! After two weeks you will be contacted by the CytoCloud local distributor and asked whether you are interested to purchase a CytoCloud annual license
  • The annual subscription includes:
    • An unlimited number of laboratory user accounts are set by the account owner. Up to two accounts may be connected at the same time, analyzing different metaphases from the same or different cases.
    • Create up to 50 cases per day, divided across as many slides as needed, with up to 20 metaphases per case.
    • Unlimited application support – typical response time within 3 business days.

Functionality

  • No. This platform is hosted on a cloud-based server and thus available online only. Note: You can access all the reports you’ve downloaded to your computer offline.
  • No restrictions! This is available everywhere, any time.
  • Absolutely! you can assign any case to one of the users associated with the account. Simply create a new user under your account and assign a case to that user. An email notification will be automatically sent to the case assignee informing of the case assignment.
  • JPG / BMP / Tiff / PNG Images of metaphases captured by any light microscope, without any metadata or annotations attached.
  • Yes. This platform is compatible with any microscope, any camera and imaging software that is able to capture images in either JPG / BMP / Tiff / PNG file format.
  • Yes. CytoCloud allows generating reports and exporting as PDF files.
  • CytoCloud allows the creation of up to 50 cases a day. Each case can have up to 20 metaphases. All cases uploaded to CytoCloud will be stored for up to three months.  Following the three-month period, the cases will be automatically deleted.
  • The CytoCloud user can download the original images, analyzed images, analysis summary and report, from the CytoCloud platform.
  • Yes, you can work from anywhere. To utilize the CytoCloud, use any computer capable of utilizing Google Chrome / Edge / Safari web browsers.

Security

  • Yes! You are the only one controlling the data. You may collaborate with others by assigning them a new profile within your personal account. CytoCloud does not include ePHi (Electronic protected health information) entry fields nor requires any ePHi data for any part of the system.
  • We take data security seriously. Our servers are hosted in a world-class data center that ensures our application is always up to date with the latest security patches. CytoCloud is secured using extended validation (EV) SSL certificate. SSL is a protocol used for encrypting Internet traffic and verifying server identity. The EV SSL used by CytoCloud is the highest form of SSL Certificate on the market. CytoCloud does not include ePHi entry fields nor requires any ePHi for any part of the system.
